A: Use this Quality Response Guide to guide a conversation with a PNM who might have reservations about joining. You would never want to miss out on a PNM due to finances, time commitment or misconceptions about Phi Sigma Pi!

Q: How can we make sure that Members get to know PNMs, so they can help to determine who becomes an Initiate?
A: Whether you do formal interviews as part of your Recruitment process or not, there should be plenty of opportunities for Members and PNMs to get to know one another. Make sure that Members are asking Meaningful Questions to learn about PNMs and what would make them great additions to the Chapter.

A: Now it’s time for Bid Vote! Keep in mind that there are Best Practices for Bid Voting that take into account the timing and location of the vote, as well as who can vote.

Q: How can we ensure that the Bid Vote is fair to all PNMs?
A: Consider using a PNM Voting Rubric to make sure that all Members are considering the right things when debating on PNMs. Some Chapters provide a copy of the Characteristics of an Ideal Brother to Members during Bid Vote to ensure pros and cons are related to our values as an organization.
