Founding Members and Chapter Advisor Becky Chamberlain after the Induction Ceremony on December 9, 2017

2018 will be the Eta Nu Chapter’s first year as an active Phi Sigma Pi Chapter. The Founding Members were Inducted on December 9, 2017 at the University of Utah. The interest to start a Chapter on this campus started about a year ago when Founding Member Katherine Townsend answered the call to continue her legacy with HOBY by starting a Phi Sigma Pi Chapter. As Phi Sigma Pi’s National Philanthropy, HOBY shares the Fraternity's passion for serving others and becoming strong leaders. As HOBY Alumni go on to attend college, joining a Phi Sigma Pi Chapter or starting a new Phi Sigma Pi Chapter, like Katherine, can be a great way to continue their HOBY story.

Katherine quickly began assembling an interest group and got the group recognized on campus in Summer 2017. This past term, the group worked to recruit and establish a foundation for the Chapter. The Founding Members are most excited about Inducting their first Initiate Class in the Spring and promoting Phi Sigma Pi’s mission on campus. They are also looking forward to sending their first Eta Nu Chapter Delegate and receiving their Charter onstage at the 2018 National Convention in Phoenix, AZ.
