Chapter Consultant

There is an exciting change to the Chapter Consultant position as we enter the 2017-2018 year: the position is a full-time, permanent position (rather than a one year contract). What this means is that Chapter Consultants have the opportunity to remain on National Staff longer than a year to gain more experience and impact the Fraternity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Chapter discussions to ensure each Chapter’s long-term sustainability

  • Coach Chapters to drive effective recruitment and retention

  • Serve as a resource for general Fraternity questions and guide Chapter development

  • Maintain regular communication with assigned Chapters

  • Frequently travel to Chapters throughout the U.S.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • At least one year professional experience in higher education or sales position preferred

  • Strong ambition and proven success positively impacting recruitment/retention efforts (within the Fraternity and/or other organizations)

  • Enthusiasm for working with college students and administrators

  • Flexible schedule and ability to travel extensively (>50% annually)

  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable, insured transportation

  • Strong presentation and group facilitation skills

  • Versatility in communication to challenge, encourage and motivate while building strong, genuine relationships

Media Production Coordinator

Coordinates video and media projects with all departments of the organization.

Reports to: Director of Communications

Status: Regular, full-time, exempt

Job Qualifications: Four year college degree. Minimum of 2 years of motion graphics and video editing experience. Experience with the following is required: Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop and be able to demonstrate smooth audiovisual editing capabilities. Proficiency in 2D motion graphics, typography, composition and color. Must understand how to capture an audience quickly across different platforms and mediums. Experience in social media is preferred. Must be able to work on a PC.

Performance Evaluations: Annually unless otherwise outlined in the Human Resources Manual

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Create video projects for all departments

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Pre-production (writing copy/scripts, storyboarding projects, location scouting)
  • Directing videos and participants
  • Promotional videos for events, programs and the organization itself
  • Videos for social media channels
  • Recruitment-focused videos for the organization and for Chapter use
  • Expansion-focused videos for the organization and potential administrators
  • Website Videos
  • Instructional Videos

2. Create non-video media for assigned projects, such as:

  • Social Media graphics
  • Department campaign materials
  • Blog graphics
  • Event graphics

3. Planning distribution and creating supplementary materials for assigned video and media projects

4. Assist with writing copy, designing and preparing:

  • Recruitment/Training materials
  • Fraternity Communications
  • Foundation Communications
  • Various digital newsletters
  • Blog
  • Email series

5. Aid in various technology-focused initiatives, including:

  • Website
  • Roundtables
  • Chapter Admin Portal
  • Member Profile pages

6. Confirm Phi Sigma Pi collateral meets brand expectations and trademark agreements

7. Ensure that all Phi Sigma Pi output meet the style guide expectation

8. Any additional projects or tasks assigned by the Director of Communications

Programming Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Leadership Advancement

Status: Regular, Full-time, exempt

Performance Evaluations: Annually unless otherwise outlined in the Human Resource Manual

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least one year professional experience in higher education or educational leadership preferred
  • Strong ambition with the ability to take initiative
  • Be creative and work independently
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects in an environment of change
  • Strong analytical, organizational and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of email and social media marketing
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience with the following is preferred: Email Marketing/Analytics, WordPress, Social Media Platforms, Photoshop, HTML
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically

Essential Functions:

1. Member Training Resources/Leadership in Action

  • Lead the development, marketing and implementation of innovative and interactive
  • National, Regional and Local web-based opportunities for Members to earn points toward a Leadership in Action Certification
  • Lead the development, marketing and implementation of the Fraternity’s educational/leadership training resources and tools
  • Assist in the preparation of Local, Regional and National Leadership in Action Modules
  • Prepare and present Phi Sigma Pi educational/leadership programs, such as Leadership in Action Modules and associated trainings, to Members, as needed

2. Risk Management

  • Assist with the development and marketing of educational programs and resources for Chapters to assist Members, Potential New Members and the National Office with topics including, but not limited to hazing prevention, alcohol/drug awareness and crisis management
  • Prepare newsletters/communications regarding the event planning form and contracts

3. Any additional projects or tasks assigned by the Director of Leadership Advancement
