A Strategic Vision

In an effort to provide a robust and comprehensive strategic vision for its Brotherhood, Phi Sigma Pi has embarked on an ambitious three-year plan which will create new benchmarks for success, establish a heightened level of commitment to our members, and support the development of critical resources across five key strategic initiatives.    

These strategic initiatives include:

  • Promoting Excellence
  • Focused Growth and Expansion
  • Developing a Comprehensive Brotherhood Experience
  • Embracing Philanthropic Partnerships
  • Nurture a Culture of Giving

These initiatives will serve to focus our work over the next three years, providing clarity and counsel for organizational priorities and projects.

Projects that are in progress will be highlighted yellow and project that are completed will be highlighted green. 

INITIATIVE I:  PROMOTING EXCELLENCE
Phi Sigma Pi will demonstrate itself as an organization of excellence through the establishment of expectations and guidelines for strong organizational development to be employed on the local, regional, and national levels.  

Focus Areas:

  • Phi Sigma Pi will engage a comprehensive review of the implementation and execution of Regional Conferences and other high-level inter-Chapter programming.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will establish both minimum standards and metrics for evaluating annual Chapter excellence which is supported by appropriate infrastructure and resources on the national level.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will evaluate internal processes and procedures to ensure we are meeting industry best practices in the areas of organizational governance and human resource management.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will encourage all Members, Chapters, and Association to reflect its purpose, mission, and values in a safe and effective manner.

INITIATIVE II:  FOCUSED GROWTH AND EXPANSION
Phi Sigma Pi will continue the expansion of our Brotherhood through a myriad of methods aimed at promoting Phi Sigma Pi as a national leader among student organizations.

Focus Areas:

  • Phi Sigma Pi will develop and maintain an aggressive plan to identify, colonize and charter new Chapters across the country, establishing a clear and targeted system for the expansion process.  
  • Phi Sigma Pi will design and approve a Fraternity Mission Statement, which will assist our recruitment efforts by providing a well-defined and detailed overview of our organization and Brotherhood.  
  • Phi Sigma Pi will serve as an ambassador for Professional Fraternity Councils, championing the creation and institution of these groups on campuses nationwide.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will design and implement new resources and tools aimed to ensure newly Chartered Chapters see long-term success, embracing a commitment to the growth and retention of all Chapters.

INITIATIVE III:  DEVELOPING A COMPREHENSIVE BROTHERHOOD EXPERIENCE
Using the guiding principles of the Tripod, Phi Sigma Pi will create and maintain opportunities for education and personal growth for its members throughout all stages of the Brotherhood experience.

Focus Areas:

  • Phi Sigma Pi will create meaningful engagement experiences for Collegiate and Alumni members that focus on the core Tripod ideals of Scholarship, Leadership, and Fellowship.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will create a lifelong Brotherhood membership education program that integrates our core values into each point along the Brotherhood continuum.  This programming will focus on an exploration of personal development, professional development and development within the context of the Phi Sigma Pi experience.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will create partnerships with external organizations that are relevant to our Brotherhood which provide increasing value to our organization and membership.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will embrace the mentality that our members are “Brothers for Life” by creating engagement and volunteer opportunities, while also developing effective training and educational resources to encourage active volunteer and Alumni engagement and participation.

INITIATIVE IV:  EMBRACING PHILANTHROPIC PARTNERSHIPS
Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity will nurture and support our local, regional and national philanthropic partnerships in an effort to promote leadership through service.  

Focus Areas:

  • Phi Sigma Pi will recognize Philanthropy as an extension of Leadership, one of the three ideals of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will facilitate the development of a national philanthropic partnership(s) with Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.

INITIATIVE V:  NURTURE A CULTURE OF GIVING
Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity will embrace its renewed partnership with the Phi Sigma Pi Foundation in an effort to increase fundraising support for programs and services which will positively impact our membership.  

Focus Areas:

  • Phi Sigma Pi will educate its membership on the significance of giving and lifelong involvement  in Phi Sigma Pi.
  • Phi Sigma Pi's National Council, National Staff and the Phi Sigma Pi Foundation will collaborate to support increased giving.
  • Phi Sigma Pi will identify creative and meaningful opportunities for parents, Alumni and friends to financially support the programming needs of our Brotherhood.
