Regional Realignment

National Council announced a Regional Realignment, which included the addition of six new regions. Through the realignment, there are now 18 regions, each with between five and eight collegiate Chapters per region. (Prior to this realignment, region sizes varied from between 6 to 15 collegiate Chapters each.)

The purpose of the regional realignment is to give regions the ability to perform to their best potential and emphasize the importance of regions to the overall strength of Phi Sigma Pi's infrastructure. The realignment also embraces the idea that the regions can remain in place for at least two years, taking into account how future collegiate expansion prospects (projected at between six and eight new Chapters per year) and current and future alumni Chapters and Associations will fit into the new structure.

Risk Management

This year we had a special presentation about Chapter risk management. We were fortunate to have Marc Mores, our insurance representative from James R. Favor & Company, LLC, speak about the many risks involved in Chapter operation and how Chapters can proactively manage those risks. Check out Marc's presentation in this video and discover how your Chapter can improve its practices.

Leadership in Action Launch

Leadership in Action, Phi Sigma Pi's new leadership certification program, made its debut at this year's National Convention. Brothers had the opportunity to experience "The Great Balancing Act" and "Conflict Management." Also, about 35 Brothers got trained to facilitate Leadership in Action at their home Chapters. If you missed it, don't worry... you'll have a chance to experience Leadership in Action at your Regional Conference.

If you'd like to sign up to get certified through Leadership in Action, or request Leadership in Action for your Regional Conference, or you want to become a Leadership in Action facilitator, contact Krista Kay, our Director of Leadership Advancement at lia@phisigmapi.org.
