Jeffrey Johnson, Alpha Gamma Chapter Founder at the University of Pennsylvania “I decided to start a chapter of Phi Sigma Pi while I was attending graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. This was one of the best decisions I could have made. I became friends with some amazing people, did some great charity work in the Philadelphia area and really became connected with my new campus. I look back on those early days with tremendous pride and satisfaction.”

Laurel Starling, Coordinator of Orientation and Special Programs and Chapter Advisor to Gamma Delta Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi at the University of West Georgia “They are an awesome group. I love those kids. They're amazing. Phi Sigma Pi is more than just an honor fraternity... they are very social and community service oriented.”

Dr. David Rosengrant, Alpha Theta Founder at Rutgers University and Chapter Advisor and Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University “I was responsible for reactivating the Alpha Theta Chapter at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The caliber of students I have seen from the chapter and their accomplishments put them in a category all their own. They are student leaders, they are volunteers, and they are academics; but above all they are the ones who will make tomorrow's world a better place and they are my Brothers. Phi Sigma Pi has the unique ability in that every chapter at every university brings together these individuals to form a strong collective group. As advisor and co-founder, I had the honor to help create this chapter where I had opportunity to see their dreams and their projects come to fruition. Now I am repeating the process at a different university, not to fulfill service requirements, but because I know the benefits that this group of individuals will bring to their university and their surroundings. I believe in this organization, I believe in its members and I believe in the good that it brings.”

Dr. David Batts, Tau Chapter Advisor and Assistant Professor at East Carolina University “Being the Faculty Advisor for East Carolina's chapter for the past ten years, I have seen amazing students come through our ranks that go on in life to be lawyers, doctors, teachers, social workers, and pharmacists. It's a joy to be the advisor for this group because they bring in the best and brightest from our campus and guide them into living a life of social service that betters the campus and surrounding community.”

Brian Thompson, Area Coordinator at East Tennessee State University and Epsilon Eta Chapter founder at Eastern Kentucky University “I have already founded one chapter at Eastern Kentucky University and now am working on starting a second chapter at East Tennessee State University because, as we profess to initiates and potential members, brotherhood is for life. Starting chapters and helping Phi Sigma Pi expand their mission to more young people is how I can give back to an organization that has helped me so much in the past. I believe that the tripod of values of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship make the organization unique. Phi Sigma Pi is helping young men and women strengthen their own knowledge in hopes of becoming more well-rounded individuals through the value of scholarship. Through community service, we teach our young men and women leadership skills that they will take with them after their days at an undergraduate institution are over. The bonds that are developed between Brothers of a chapter and throughout the National Fraternity are strong and life long because of the value of fellowship. It gives me great pride to know that I am a part of an organization like Phi Sigma Pi that commits itself to the betterment of our younger generations.”

— Brian Thompson, Area Coordinator at East Tennessee State University and Epsilon Eta Chapter founder at Eastern Kentucky University
“I was heavily involved in my chapter of Phi Sigma Pi as an undergraduate. The organization's dedication to service and the great people is what appealed most to me. I served as an Executive officer, and made lifelong friends. Years later when I was working at the University of Delaware I literally "ran into" National Officers on campus who were trying to start a chapter there, and I asked right away what I could do to help start a chapter. I served as a faculty/staff chapter advisor for a number of years before my career brought me to Lehigh University, where I also helped found a chapter and served as an advisor. I've had the unique opportunity to experience the impact of this organization from both an undergraduate and a professional perspective, and I can state with no doubts that my involvement with this fraternity has been a highlight of my personal and professional experience!”

— Rich Freed, Associate Director of Career Services at Lehigh University and Delta Chi Chapter Advisor
Jonah Goodman, Founder of the Delta Alpha Chapter at Rochester Institute of Technology and National President of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity 2006 - 2008 “The ability to bring Phi Sigma Pi to R.I.T. while I was an undergraduate was a crucial point in my personal and professional development. The organization made me better understand my role in my academic and campus communities while offering the opportunity outside of the classroom to lead and learn. These lessons have been invaluable.”
