Phi Sigma Pi recognizes the top chapter within each region each year during its annual awards banquet held at the National Convention. Chapters are evaluated on the following criteria:

Phi Sigma Pi currently has each of its chapters assigned to one of nineteen geographic regions.
The following regions were phased out as a result of the 2010 Regional Realignment.
With successful expansion efforts in the West, the Southwest Region was phased out in 2011. Two new regions (the Pacific Coast and West Regions) were created as a result.
